Virginia Watts Obituary

WATTS, Virginia "Ginnie" Foster, of Richmond, died Saturday, December 6, 2008. She was born in Portsmouth, Va., the daughter of the late Agnes Stainback and John Wiatt Foster Sr. Her husband, John A. Watts, preceded her in death. Ginnie worked for the Seaboard Airline Railroad for 45 years, before retiring in 1979. She is survived by her sister, Dora Foster Gibbs of Holly Springs, N.C. (formerly of Chesapeake); as well as many nieces and nephews, who always thought of her as their second grandmother. The family would like to thank a very special niece, Sally Foster Loth of Richmond, Va., for her care and devotion to Ginnie. A memorial service will be held at Bon Air United Methodist Church, 1645 Buford Rd., Richmond, Va., at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 11. The family will receive friends at the church following the ceremony. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, Va., at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 12. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the charity of your choice.
