James Arthur Ingram

INGRAM, James Arthur, 93, of Chase City, Va., formerly of Nathalie, Va., died December 8, 2008 at the home of his daughter. Widower of Virginia Short Ingram, survivors include two daughters, Judy Shapard and her husband, Ferrell, of Richmond, Va., and Frances Newcomb and her husband, Ronnie, of Chase City; five grandchildren, Lisa Terry of Richmond, James Shapard of Charlotte, N.C., Ruth Bradshaw of Winston-Salem, N.C., Dawn Newcomb of Nashville, Tenn., and Mary Frances Newcomb of Asheville, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Andy Terry of Richmond and Kate Shapard of Charlotte, N.C. Also surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Martin of Nathalie, Va., and Edith Powell of South Boston, Va. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at Catawba Baptist Church, Nathalie, Va., at 2 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to service at church, all other times at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Ronnie Newcomb of Chase City, Va. Newcomb-Allgood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to CMH Community Hospice, P.O.
