Dear Curt, Todd, Beth & the remainder of the Ackers. While we didn't know Lou in her prime, we could sense that she was a most delightful lady and wish we could have known her earlier. Your devotion to her care and well-being are an inspiration to all of us here at Summerhill. May the joyous memories help comfort you during this time of keen loss. Her spirit lives on.

To Todd and Beth:
My memories of your Mom go way back. She was always: (a) mortified, (b) effusively polite, and (c) just beside herself and at a loss to explain her son's actions, when Terry and I came to pick Todd up for work early in the morning (lawn mowing and all that stuff), and he was still sawing logs in bed. We always thought it a kick when she let us go upstairs and make a racket and be obnoxious, loud, and noisy to "wake the bum up". Perhaps this was a prelude to fraternity pranks . . . or our first lesson in same.
She was a wonderful lady, and we all (Todd's boyhood friends) loved visiting because she was always interested in what we were up to, and she always made us feel completely at home.
With love and affection,
--Jed Fahey
