My thoughts of Uncle Steve are filled with music, art and stories of the old days. His stories made my ancestors come to life and in turn become a part of who I am. He was a memory keeper and a story teller. I will in turn keep his memory alive in my heart forever. I will pass along the stories he told along with some new ones of my own. Stories of my precious Uncle Steve who had the heart of an artist , the soul of musician and now and forever the spirit of an angel. I will miss you Uncle Steve. My thoughts and prayers to all the family.

It's wonderful to read about how much my Daddy was loved. He was indeed a special person. He had many talents that he shared when he was able. His love of music was passed on to my two brothers. His love of art to my nephew and cousin and writing poetry was passed on to me. Another cousin enjoyed his endless stories of growing up in the valley. He will be missed by all who knew him and especially by those who loved him.

Steve and Big Ben were two of my best friends in High School. I was much smaller than those two and they would each pick me up by an arm and stroll down the hallways. God bless his family.

Not only have I lost my uncle, I have also lost my link to the past. How sad it is to realize I will never again hear any of your endless stories of growing up or hear you plunk on old guitar. My heart is broken. But now that you are gone, I am able to share with the world the secret we kept between us all those years...that I was your favorite niece and you were my favorite uncle. Steve, I will never forget you...you were truly a gentle giant. May you now sing with the angels.
