Phyllis Haynes Obituary

HAYNES, Phyllis, W., 81, of Sandston, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald T. "Mickey" Haynes; and grandson, Samuel Brandon. She is survived by two sons, Richard Terry (Renee Maxson) and Mark C. Haynes; and one granddaughter, Heather Marie and her fianc‚, Andy Quinonez. Mrs. Haynes was a member of Highland Springs United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Southern States. The family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to King William Volunteer Fire Department.

I had the pleasure of working with Phyllis years ago at Southern States and we were reacquainted when she came to stay with Anita. Phyllis was a wonderful person and will be missed by all that knew her. My sincerest sympathies to you all.
