ANDREWS, Helen Virginia Jennings, 93, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Milton Andrews Sr.; daughter, Joan Carolyn Andrews; sons, James M. Andrews Jr. and Robert S. Andrews; brother, Arthur F. Jennings; five grandchildren, Nicole Siben, Andrea Finnegan, Makaira Maranges, Jessica Richards and Matthew Andrews; six great-grandchildren, Natalia, Aiden, Myles, Makayla, Marley and Ellis. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Branch's Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

Joan, Our prayers are will you durning this difficult time. I remember your Mom so very well. She worked with me at the Va Army National Guard many years ago. She was very special to me and my husband, Nick. She shared her summer home for us to use on our honeymoon. We had so many laughts together. She loved you so much Joan. We had lots of talks about your skating, etc. She will be missed by so many people whose hearts she touched. We know she is at peace with her heavenly father, without pain. God bless you and the family.
