BROWN, Kenneth Mayo, a retired Westvaco employee for over 30 years, departed this life on January 20, 2009. He is survived by one daughter, Charlean Brown; one son, Robert Brown (Karen); two grandchildren, Tiana M. and Kenya; one great-granddaughter, Kayla; one sister, Chella Street; one brother, Elwood Brown Jr. (Susie); daughter-in-law, Colette Brown; one sister-in-law, Gladys Whitehead; three nieces, two nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets, where the family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at which time funeral services will begin. Interment private.

Kenneth Brown and family,
Sorry to hear the loss of your father. May the Lord look over you and your family during this sad occasion. I remember well our up-bringing during the 'Blackwell' days of yesteryear (Bam-Bam). Surely the days ahead will be rough, but remember...there's calm after the storm, and with the Lord's help, all things are possible.
