Rosa Lee Crumbley

CRUMBLEY, Rosa Lee, peacefully departed this life on January 16, 2009. She was born on July 6, 1914 in Winston Salem, N.C. She received her education in the Richmond public schools. Rosa was an employee of Thalhimer's Department Store for 29 years from where she retired. She accepted Christ and became a member of Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a member of the Seniors of Zion Ministry. She attended faithfully until her health failed. Rosa was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Mary C. Boyd and leaves to cherish her memory, two devoted daughters, Rosa L. Williams of Newport News and Audrey Y. Hatcher; two stepsons, Jeremiah White and David Moss; stepdaughter, Elder Brenda Wheeler; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 1 p.m., at Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2705 Hartman St. Pastor Roscoe Cooper III officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
