Bernard Webber Obituary

Published by Bliley's Funeral Home Central Chapel from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28, 2009.
WEBBER, Bernard B. "Barney," of Richmond, passed away January 25, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Arlyn Webber; his only daughter, Adrienne "A.J." Fisher; son-in-law, Joe Fisher; and two devoted grandchildren, Stefany and Michael Fisher. He was a WWII veteran and a proud member of Patton's 3rd Army. Barney enjoyed many years of tennis at Raintree Swim and Racquet Club, was an avid trader in the stock market and had a love for traveling. Barney had been my friend for forty plus years. He was one of the finest people that I have had the pleasure to be associated with. He will be surely missed by all of his family and friends.

I attribute some of my fondest famiily memories to Uncle Barney (and Aunt Arlyn and Adrienne) and the great times our families spent together vacationing in Ocean City, Md. and other exciting places. Uncle Barney was always the "brilliant professor" who was many decades ahead of his time with his innovative thinking and inventiveness. Always seeing the lighter side of life, his sharp sense of humor, laughter and smile will live forever and I will miss him very much.
