CHENAULT, Mary Butler, 94, of Sparta, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Essex House. She was born in Caroline County, and was the widow of Campbell C. Chenault. She was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School for many years. She retired as a cafeteria worker in the Caroline County Schools. Survivors include a nephew, William D. Motley and his, wife, Glenna, of Warsaw; two nieces, Sue M. Andrews of Tappahannock and Ellen M. Stevens and her husband, Kenny, and a special friend, Barbara Seal of Sparta. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Salem Baptist Church, Sparta, Va. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 24032 Sparta Road, Sparta, Va. 22552.
