Emma Myrie Balazs

BALAZS, Emma Myrie, of Richmond, formerly of Hopewell, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2009. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Nicholas Balazs. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dwight Balazs; her granddaughter, Lisa Leonard; and her grandson, Daniel Leonard. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Hanks; son-in-law, Robert Hanks; and her grandson, Jonathan Wyckoff. Mrs. Balazs lived most of her life in Hopewell and was a member of First Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren. The family gives their heartfelt appreciation to the Cardiac ICU staff at Chippenham Hospital and her caregivers at Hospice of Virginia. A private graveside service will be held at Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. The Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
