Its been one year since Jean has been gone and it seems in some ways only yesterday and in some other ways, it seems like a lifetime. But I am so thankful for the wonderful memories I have to bring a smile to my face and recall those wonderful fun times we had together. I know your home in Heaven is a glorious place with so many wonderful friends and also your Lord and Saviour whom you always placed your trust in. Love you always.

There are no words that can adquately express my love for Jean. My heart has a hole which can only be filled by the beautiful memories that I've shared with her since 1st grade. We shared more happiness and fun in a lifetime and I'm so grateful that the Lord saw fit to let us grow up together and continue to have a friendship that kept us close in heart for all these years. Derek, Jonathan, Millie, Nathan and Ashley..your life has truly been blessed to have such a mother and grandmother. The students at BSH have been blessed to have the love and attention that she gave to each child that crossed her path. the Football games that she faithfully attended and cheered her heart out for each touchdown.. the basketball games which she enjoyed so much and all of the sports events that had her heart completely in. The teachers that she admired. The friendships that she formed through the years and always that smile that was sometimes waiting for a joke to play out but always with joy and love. How we will all miss her! But we can all be comforted with the beautiful memories we have and the knowledge that she is now home in Heaven with Douglas and with the God that she loved. We will always miss you Jean, but the memories you left us with will keep us smiling and remembering our wonderful times we all spent together. Happy Homecoming.. you deserve it. Much love.

Dear Derek and Jonathan, I just today learned of your Mother's passing. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the service. Whenever I think of your Mother, I immediately think, lovely and beautiful. I so remember your Mom and Dad when being a part of my life from a young child to young adult. I remember you both being at Va. Beach and all of us playing in the surf, and building (& knocking down) sand castles. My deepest sympathies, as your Mom was always so graceful, beautiful, and, well lovely. You both and your extended family are in my prayers.
With Deepest Sympathy, Susan McCaddin Aiken

To the Manley Family,
Mrs. Manley was one of my favorite things from my years at Huguenot. I was her office aide for the last 3 years of high school and during my senior year actually was in the office with her for 2 class periods rather than 1. I always enjoyed the time I spent with her. She will truly be missed.

Mrs. Manley was a wonderful lady who had a wonderful smile. I enjoyed my days of working in the office with Mrs. Manley. She set a great example and loved all of her many workers. Mrs. Manley the next generation will miss what a treasure you were, but we will be sure to pass on the memories. May God Bless your family during this time of grief.

Your mother had an ear for listening to others problems and bringing them comfort. Her smile and her funfilled play brought much joy to those who worked with her, especially me. We at BSH will miss her greatly. My prayers are for your peace and comfort and a lifetime of precious memories.
