Most people say that you can count your true friends on one hand, and if that is the case there was a finger on my mother's hand (Pearl) for Sister Avent. She was a real true friend, and as close to family as a person can get. If she was missing from the dinner table on Sunday, there was always a void, because she was considered family. She loved her husband and children very much, and would walk through fire or give her life for any of them. I believe that she is truly in heaven, and that she was taken before she had to suffer, because God knew her heart and didn't want her to bear any pain on this earth. I too loved your mother because she was down to earth, and the same way always. The time God allowed your mother to be on earth was a blessing. When talking to me she would always say that my "boys" are going to be alright, because I took it to the Lord in prayer.

To a friend whom was very much devoted to her family. I am glad that we cross each other paths and worked together for many years. I enjoyed whenever we talked for hours over the phone and I will forever cherish those moments . We became united in kinship through a covenant of marriage between the late Earl Kenyear and Travona Harris. May the God of all comfort provide peace to you at this time. The most important decision that "Mama" made was to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. According to the scriptures, she is there with Him now.
