James Thomas Obituary

THOMAS, Deacon James V. Jr., of Chesterfield, departed this life February 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, James V. Thomas Sr. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Thomas; three sons, James S. Thomas, Ramon and Eric (JaMarri) Sellers; three daughters, Monica Jennings, Wanda Harris and Rosemary Broadie; mother, Hattie Thomas; six brothers, Andrew, Johnnie (Barbara), Earnest (Evelyn), Darryl (Rosalind), Reginald (Dya), and Alton (Donna) Thomas; eight sisters, Rose Smith, Mary Thomas, Lillian Thomas, Marva Thomas, Bessie Worsham, Edna Lewis (George), Brenda Thompson, and Wanda Reynolds (Tony); 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron, Caleb and Abigail Sellers, Tilwona Outland, Uneak Harris, Kenneth Pittman, Tamika Curtis, Javon Curtis and Christopher Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where the family will receive friends Friday (today) 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, at 12 noon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 17520 Jefferson Hwy., Montpelier, Va. Rev. Evan C. White officiating. Interment Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Va.
