Mary Lou Wroten
March 11, 2023
My name is Mary Lou Wroten.. and since I've gotten older I've been thinking about my past and jobs that I've had and people that left a memorable impression in my life. I do believe by the picture that is shown that this is Mr George Dodd that worked at Gussini Shoes in elkridge Maryland, in the 1980's he was in charge of their real estate department and I was one of his secretaries... I am pretty sure this is the right George Dodd. I have myself and his assistant always would say to him you look so much like Humphrey Bogart. Mr Dodd was a fantastic person to work for. There were only three of us in the real safe department and I was his assistant Mary Kellette and myself. We worked hard and we also had good times he made work very pleasant I have nothing but good words to say about him and please accept my late deepest sympathies and condolences for the loss of your father grandfather and great-grandfather may He be having a wonderful time over the rainbow. Rest in peace Mr George Dodd.

My thoughts are with you at this time. It was our fortune to have been your neighbor for a while. I know George will surely be missed by a very loving family.

Dad,
Soon I will plant my garden and with luck my vegetables will be as beautiful as the ones you shared for many years from your garden. I will smile and savor the flavor and texture, I will think of the many times we shared your vegetables, this was a simple pleasure you gave to many.
When throughout the season I pull weeds from my garden I will remember you; teaching that nothing worth enjoying comes easy; and hard work is always repaid in time, and that we should always remain patient.
To you Dad, my teacher I will strive to return what you gave: knowledge, commitment, service and the longing to do better. Sleep well, Joe
This is my brother, George on his 80th birthday!

George "Pop-Pop" was what you would call a mans man. He was a straight shooter, he told you what he thought and didn't pull no punches. He was a devoted family man and was always ready to pitch in and help when it was needed. I am proud to have known him and to have many memories. I feel for the families loss. He will be missed.
