Ethel Thrift Obituary

THRIFT, Ethel Ellis, 87, of Richmond, widow of Curtis M. Thrift, went to be with the Lord February 23, 2009. She is survived by her two sons, Ellis M. Thrift of Ashland and Curtis A. "Bubba" Thrift of Glen Allen; and one daughter, Sylvia T. Bradbury of Richmond; also 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Mrs. Thrift was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
