I am going to miss Uncle Howard very much. I know he is in a beautiful place now. He was always a clown that turned my frown upside down. I know the pain of losing a father. I lost mine twice and life just isn't the same with your loved ones missing from it. If there is anything I can do for ya'll just let me know.

Mary, Pam, Kelli, Shawn, Derrick, Tyler, & Macie,
What can I say about my wonderful brother. I know he was one of a kind when we were young. When God made Howard he broke the mold. The memories we all have of him will comfort us for years to come. I know we will never stop missing him and needing him in some way.
I have already needed to call him and ask him something. God only knows how much we all are going to miss him. Mary, I want you to know how much we love you for falling in love with our brother. You were so good for him and to him. You understood him like no one else could. If anyone every found their true soul mate it was you and Howard. Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. I love all of you so much. I am only a phone call away.
May Gods loving arms hold all of us close to him til we all meet again one day.

Dear Pam,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I have been thinking of you since I first heard of the passing of your father. Having lost my own father, I know what a hard time this is. Just know I am here for you.

Spicer Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I traveled from Texas and visited the church many times. I remember Howard as a kind and gentle man who truly cared about those around him. I loved his brunswick stew. I am especially thankful to him for his love and support to my family...Brian, Tammy, Taylor, Kim, Andy and Adam. He was like a grandfather to my grandchildren and a great support to my children. He will be missed but with so many loving memories by all whose lives he touched.

Dear Mary and Family,
Howard was one of the nicest men I have ever met in my entire life. He was constantly telling jokes and making everyone laugh. I remember one Trunk or Treat at church when he put on this silly mask and laughing the whole time. Youth was always fun. We will all dearly miss him at church and in our lives. My sincerest sympathies to you all for this loss.

Mary, Pam, Kelli and families,
The news of Howard's passing was so hard to hear. We're never ready for the death of someone we love so much. Howard was so vital to our church and youth that it wil be difficult to get over this big void that he's left. We (the church) are one big family of Christians, so your pain is our pain, your suffering is our suffering. May the beautiful memories we have of Howard sustain us as we live out our daily lives and hold each other up. Each of you are in our prayers and we love you.

Pam,
Since we were little girls, maybe 6, on the softball field, I remember your Dad as larger than life. Always smiling, always there to cheer everyone on even when the uniforms were bigger than we were. He was always at the concession stand, always doing all he could for our little community of Hunton. I am so very sorry. My prayers are for you and your family.

Dear Mary, Kelli, Pam and Family,
I do not have the words to express how sorry I am for the loss of such a sweet, funny, caring man. I have many great memories of Christmas Lights, and getting scarred to death in the woods in front of your house around Halloween. I have been where you are and it hurts, but it will get better and the memories you and all of us all have of him will become very precious in time. Let me know if I can help in anyway.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Spicer's passing. I knew him from working at MAB paints in Richmond- they have been closed for over 10 years or so now. Mr. Spicer was one of the most loyal customers we had. It was always a pleasure to see him walk in the door. He always had great stories to share and greeted you with a warm smile. Living on Greenwood Road, he would always wave when he came by in his red Chevy. He will greatly be missed.
May your memories comfort you during this difficult time.

Dear Aunt Mary, Pam, Kelli, Shawn, Derrick, Tyler, and Macie,
No words can express how sorry I am. I know the pain you all are feeling, you just have to take it one day at a time and hold all those memories close because he is right in your heart. I will miss him so much, his humor, kindness, the great memories he gave so many of us. The legendary scary old man mask! What did he always call me when I was younger, Bedwater! He was loved by so many people and he was a great man.
I love you all!

Dear Mary and Family,
Howard was such a character as long as I can remember. As a young girl, I spent many hours in the Spicer basement watching and playing pool. I have so many memories of Howard, like at the Haunted Houses put on in the neighborhood. He loved people and made all of us smile. When my sons third baby was born with so many problems and had to stay here in the hospital, Howard gave my son work here in town. That made it possible for him to be near his sick baby. Our family was so grateful to Howard for that. To sum it up, Howard was great. We will miss him, but now Heaven has his great smile and sense of humor. God bless you and the family. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Mary, Pam, Shawn & Kelli,
I was very saddened at hearing of Howard's passing. I want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I will miss "Uncle Howie." That is what I always called him whenever I saw him and he always responded with "Hey there Finger." He had been calling me that since I was a little girl. I broke my finger playing softball and he never let me live it down. His humor and kindness will forever be a special memory for me and I'm sure for all those who knew him.
Much Love to all of you,
Evanne and Rick Benson

Mary,
The news of Howard's passing was so hard to believe. I know your heart aches but take comfort in knowing that when God needed an angel he reached for a man that was as wonderful as Howard. He was an angel here on Earth and now he looks over all of his kids from above. He did so much for the kids at Hunton Baptist. My wrong arm boys miss him more than words can express. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.
With love and support,

Aunt Mary, Pam Shawn, Dereck, Tyler, Macie and Kelli, I just wanted to let you'll know that I love ya'll so much and I am so sorry for Uncle Howards passing. He was such a fun and caring person to be around. If you needed to be cheered up, he was the one to do it. If you needed something, he was the one to ask or he new who could help you. If you needed some assisstance he was more than willing to porvide it. I remember when we were at Ocracoke and I was about to step off the edge of the porch at the bait and tackle shop, he was the one who saved me and scratched up his knee in the process. He was a man of many small deads as well as big ones. He loved his family and would do anything for them. I am glad to say he was my Uncle and I will see him again one day. We love you and please let us know if we can do anything for you.
Love Robby, Tammy, Hayley and Avery Spicer.

I am so sorry that you have to lose such a wonderful man who has touched many within his 69 years of life. He was called because he was needed. You will see him again soon. We will all miss his humor & practical jokes, but most of all, his yearning to help those in need. We were all truly blessed by his presence in our lives. Having gone through this myself recently, I am totally aware of what you are going through. Please don't hesitate to call for anything you need, whether it is helping around the house, groceries, an ear to listen, or shoulder to cry on...we are always here for you no matter how big or small your need. You can count on us. We love you!!!!
