Dear Welford,
Words still can't express how I feel about all that has happened to your family in the past 10 months. You have dealt with so much. Vicki was like the sister I never had. She was always good to me and I miss her terribly. The history with your family holds special memories for me and my family. I will cherish those always. Welford continue to feel the love of Vicki and Allen through your grandchildren. All of you need each other more than ever.

God Bless,
JoAnn Shearouse & Family

To Welford, my father-in-law,
I cannot express enough the sorrow that I have for you. You & Vicki have and always will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm always here for you no matter what. You and Vicki welcomed me and Lindsay into your family without hesitation and with more love than we ever expected. You never referred to Lindsay as a "step" grandchild. You simply took her in and treated her as one of your own. Your genourosity over the years will always be appreciated and never forgotten. I couldn't have hand picked a better set of in-laws. I feel very blessed to have known Vicki and to be able to spend the time with her that I did. Vicki will be missed by all that knew her. Her love for life, children and for you were obvious, as is the love you have for her. Even though it is hard for you to let Vicki go, know in your heart that she is at peace, she is with Allen and she is with our Lord, and that one day we will all be reunited. Until that day, may God ease your pain and walk with you during this difficult time.
With much love and respect,
Your daughter-in-law & Granddaughter,
Jill & Lindsay

Welford and family,
I am so sorry for your loss again. I dont have any words that would make this easier for you to get through, but I am so greatful to have known Vicki. She was a care taker to every one she knew even to the end. She was strong and always stood up for her family. Without Vicki there would never have been an Allen and without him I would not have Chase. She and Welford always took care of Chase when he was with them to such a degree that I never had to worry about him when he was there. They are the kind of grandparents every child deserves. They are comfort and stability. Even though Vicki and Allen are no longer with us I know Welford will continue to share memories with him and love him unconditionally just as Vicki did with her entire family and friends. She will be sadly missed. So thank you Vicki for everything you did for Chase and for me, you will never know how much I appreciate it.
