ADAMS, Mrs. Rosa Lee, 73, of Keysville, passed away Tuesday morning in Farmville. She was born June 18, 1935 in Ferrum, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Ruby Estelle Moye Taylor. She was the widow of John T. Adams Sr. She is survived by her children, Sharon Metcalf and husband, Ronnie, of Pamplin, Cindy Adams and Ronnie Blanton of Farmville, John T. Adams Jr. and wife, Julie, of Farmville and Missy Francisco and husband, Travis, of Keysville; her brother, Jerry W. Taylor of Kenbridge; her grandchildren, Ron Metcalf and wife, Beth, of Phenix, Va., Jayden Blanton, Taylor and Christian Adams, Brenden and Bryson Francisco; her great- granddaughter, Makenzie Metcalf; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Juliette Peaks, of Ontario, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her sons, Taylor Washington Adams and J.T. Adams; her brother, David W. Taylor; and her sister, Phyllis A. Shook. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009, 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burkeville, with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 to 8 p.m., at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Hills. Puckett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Good morning aunt rosa i sure miss coming to stay with you eating all that good food and watching tv,and talking about all the good times with the family.i think my favorite story was when uncle johnny was outside one nite and told you to get back in the house,and you said hes not gonna tellyou what to do and he said rose get in the house cause theres a bear out here i really miss you,but you are in a better place and you are not in pain anymore.tell mom, granny,papa, unclejohnny,uncledavid and if you see myfather inlaw which i called dad (bill stagg)hi for me i miss all of you and ill see yall when i get there love all your niece Belinda Stagg

Just a little note to you Mom on Christmas morning, I love and miss you, Dad, Granny, Pappa, Uncle David and Aunt Phyllis. Today is especially hard, but I know you are better in heaven without any pain or sickness. I love you all and can't wait to be reunited with all of you one day!!!

Rosa Lee and I were good friends for many many years especially when I lived in Virginia in the 60's. I talked with her a month ago. God bless you all. She will be missed.
