GRISSOM, Henderson T. "Slim," 91, of Richmond, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 10, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie May Grissom; and is survived by his son, Stephen H. Grissom and his wife, Sheila; sister, Betty Jean Downs; brother, Rudolph D. Grissom; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Blake, Lauren, David, Derek, Ryan and Lindsey; great-granddaughter, Megan. Slim was a member of Branch's Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #345 AF & AM. No formal visitation is planned. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
