This has blown me away. I found myself looking up a friend only to realize that he has passed on. I have been friends with Yusef for over 10 years and we even shared an apartment together a few years back. We spent so much time together as best friends over the years but sadly we lost touch when I moved back to the Roanoke area. I last saw Yusef a couple years ago when I visited the Richmond area and we were able to catch up a bit. I do not know how he died but I do know that he was an amazing person that lifted anyone up with just a smile. I have been deeply saddened by this news and it will take time to realize that he is actually gone. Yusef I will miss you my friend. You were one of the best friends I have ever known in my life. My deepest thoughts are with his family. I was unable to meet but one of his family members. I did meet and get to know his brother during the time they lived together. My prayers are with every one of you. Just know that Yusef changed my life in the person he was. He could teach us all a lesson on how to be a true friend. You just don't get too many of those in this lifetime.

I just learned Yusef passed. Despite my sadness, I rejoice in the Knowing that Yusef is happy and at peace and in a place of unparalled Beauty and Love. He was beautiful and had a loving spirit. Everyone liked him and he consistently demonstrated Kindness, Compassion and Love. What He lacked in Stature, he Exceeded in Spirit. He will be truly missed. Farewell to my fellow VSU Trojan and friend.

Yusef was truly the one of the bright spots growing up. I could always depend on him for a laugh, a joke and a smile. I cherished his friendship in middle and high schools. My condolences to the family. Yusef, you will be greatly missed.

I was sorry to hear of Yusef's passing. I first met Yusef at Brookand then we went to Hermitage together. He always had a smile on his face and a laugh in his heart which carried over to those that knew him. He may have been small but his presence was enormous, you always knew when Yusef was in the room. He will greatly be missed even though I know he's in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with is family.

I grew up with Yusef from Glen Allen Elementary School on until we graduated at Hermitage. He was always the little guy with the big smile. He always had kind words to say about everyone. He touched so many with his positive energy.

This just reminds us just how short and precious life is. I know you are up there in heaven smiling down on everyone. God's purpose for your earthly life has been fulfilled, so He brought you home.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Yusef. He was always such the clown in school. Many a days he would cheer me up with his warm & bubbly personality. I missed him at our 25 class reunion! My sympathy to his family & friends! Yusef will be horribly missed!

Yusef brightened my 6th grade science @ Brookland. You were my child for one year and I had to pass you to other teachers;however you have remained in my heart. Seeing that Wortham is deceased hurt my heart also because he was my child in 7th grade English class. My deepest sympathy to the Tinsley family. May Good give you the comfort you need.

How blessed we are that we had a chance to know Yusef this side of heaven. His love for God and mankind gave us just a glimpse of the peace that God has prepared for us all in the eternal. I pray God's blessings and peace over all of his family.

I can remember when we were kids we use to play with super hero action figues and you had the coolest Batman, Batcave Toys and Star Trek would be on TV in the evenings. As we got older I started driving first and I would hang out late at night when you couldn't at that time and the next day you would let me know that you saw me coming in late and I need to watch it before I got caught......well my friend you were right. Thanks for being a good friend.
Your home now, say high to my dad.
