Philip Couch Obituary

COUCH, Philip Freet Jr., 69, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2009, in his Powhatan home. He is survived by many family and friends, including his his seven children, Kent Couch, Michael Couch, Brian Couch, Suzanne Yearout, Lori Davis, Bruce Couch and Darren Couch; and his two brothers, Richard Couch and William Couch. Also surviving are the children's spouses, nine grandchildren and numerous friends whom he thought of like family. Phil had a love of the outdoors and was an active hunter and fisherman. At home he had his longtime hunting companion, Bird, and three beagles. A favorite of his and his visitors was the large variety of birds which regularly visited his feeder. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all. A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, August 22, at 5 p.m. at his home in Powhatan. His ashes will be scattered at a later date on his beloved farm in Cumberland.
