My prayers and condolences to the family. I recently found out on Christmas day, 2009, that Celestine went home with the angels. Celestine was one of a kind and that magnetic smile......she always had a smile on her face. She will never be forgotten and all the inspirational talks we had will always be in my heart. Rest in peace.

To the Braxton family,
You will never know how much I will miss Celest, she was like a big sister to me and I am sorry that I did not hear about her passing until it was too late I would have been there and I wish that I had not missed her phone call a couple of months ago, I never got the chance to call her back because had so much going in my life and I really regret this. Because Celest and I had some many good times though out the years she prayed with so often and gave me so much encouragement in my times of troubles and she celebrated with me in my time of joy. She was a true angel, even with me moving to North Carolina she still kept in touch, I wish I could have said goodbye, but I guess God wants me to just remember the good times, I just want to say that I love and I miss her. But I know that the Lord will help all of you, to get though this tough time.

Words cannot express what I am trying to say. My prayers and sympathy will be with you now and always. The smile Celest has will brighten up the sky. If there is anything that I can do, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The family sends their regards also.

Auntie we are going to truly miss you. I took me a while to write because I have so much that I would like to say. I hold so many great memories from when I was a child up until now, and the best part about it is that you shared the same love and affection with my husband and children. When I think back to when I was a little girl I can remember you taking the time to show me and teach me how to be a young lady. You also shared your talents and skills with me by teaching me how to arrange flowers, cooking many of my favorite dishes and the list goes on and on with our love for crafts. I give a lot of credit to you. I can go on and on about the many memories that I have to remember you by. But the one that I hold most dear to my heart is this past Mother’s day when you sung your favorite song "I'm still holding on". I remember you being so filled with the spirit and the words from the song change the atmosphere. Every time I get a moment I'm going to go out and sit on my deck and think back to that very special day and remember you singing and talking to the Lord in your own special way. We love you and will truly miss your presence.

Love Always,

It's hard to fathom the loss of such a great person. It had been a long time, but when I got to see her just about everyday at work, it was great. We were both doing something we really enjoyed. And now its unreal.. Aunt Cherry I love you and miss you. Uncle Darryl and Kristina continue to keep God in your life and I will keep you in my prayers.

To the Braxton Family:

It was truly a shock and extremely sad to hear of Celes' passing. I had not seen Celes for many years, but I still remember her smiling face during the time our daughters were in girl scout together. She was such a loving and caring person. My family and I are praying your strength during your time of sadness. May God continue to Bless you and keep you strong.

To Darryl & Family:
I was reading the obituaries on Sunday and saw that Celest had passed! My heart dropped! I remember seeing you guys at the JFK Class Reunion looking just as beautiful as you always look with those big smiles. I've always said since we were in highschool over 30+ years ago, that you guys were truly soulmates! GOD needed Celest beautiful smile in heaven and have now called her home. Darryl my prayers are with you and your family. I pray GOD'S blessings and strength to cover you all and help you through this. Remember all the good times you guys had and know that each time you look in the sky and see a star, Celest is looking down and smiling on you. God's faith makes things possible....not easy. Know that God have called a beautiful flower home to place in his garden. My prayers are with you. Brenda Casey Jones (Class of 1972 - JFK)
