WILSON, James R., 65, of Powhatan, passed away September 13, 2009, following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, I.B. and Audrey Wilson. He is survived by his brother, I.B. Wilson Jr. and wife, Ruby, of Heathsville; his sister, Joan Doss and husband, Jack, of Hadensville; several nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends from Idaho and Powhatan. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, trap and fish. He especially loved to coon hunt. For approximately 20 years he made his home in Idaho, moving back to Powhatan due to his illness. He will be missed. A visitation will be held Wednesday (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte. 60), Powhatan. A graveside service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., in Fine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Powhatan Rescue Squad or Fine Creek Baptist Church.
