I first saw Stan Romanowski's huge presence in the summer of 1970 -- this big Polish guy from New Jersey lived on a small farm with his lovely wife, Dorothy, and his two then-unmarried daughters, Ginny and Marsha.

He had several dogs and a couple of horses, a garden and the most beautiful 1960 Chevy Bel-Air two-tone (aqua blue and white) coupe I've ever seen. He really kept those cars in great shape.

What a great guy he was. I loved him and Dorothy like a mom and dad. So long, Stan.
