William Dennis ALCORN Jr.

ALCORN, William Dennis Jr., passed from this life into God's arms on September 18, 2009. Known to his family and friends as "Denny," he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty G. Alcorn. He is also survived by three sons, Brent Alcorn of Scottsville, Va.; Scott Alcorn, his wife, Margaret, and grandson, Matthew, and granddaughter, Samantha, all of Boise, Idaho; and Carl Alcorn of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one daughter, Holly Thompson, granddaughter, Kristian Thompson, and grandson, Haden Thompson, all of Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, his wish was for donations to the Shrine Mont Scholarship Fund at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Richmond, Va. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Richmond, Va. Visitation with the family following the service.
