Dear Johnnie,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of your mother's sudden death, especially after seeing you so recently and talking about her. I know how very much you will miss her. I always think of what a good cook she was and I still have (and make) her Texas sheet cake recipe on original paper, from way back when!!! And I always think of your parents on my birthday (Dec. 8) because that was their wedding anniversary. I'm sure this will be a tough time for you to get through but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I'll be thinking of you and both your parents on Tuesday. It was nice to see both you and Maureen this summer, even though the occasion was sad. It brought back so many fond memories for me.
Anyhow, please give my best to Maureen.
Love, Tamara
