Darrin I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom left us so suddenly but, "GOD" needed his "Angel". We will all miss her so much. You know that mom is in a much better place and would not want you to grieve for her. She is not in anymore pain and left because she was tired of the fight but, she won the BATTLE! Remember "GOD" always take the best Angels first. You know, Betty knew that you and Javon was going to be just fine. She is up in Heaven playing Bingo right now and she will be waiting for you when that time comes. I will cherish the memories of her and the good times we had when ever we were together especially at the trailor. Remember I am here for you and Javon (Son) and love you! Stay in touch and bring my other grandson to see me sometimes.

I first met Ms.Washington when she became my partner in unit C1 at RDC. She was kind and generous and tougher than she looked. The girls in the unit called her grandma,I called her partner because she truly was the best partner I ever had and the best friend. I knew that no matter what happened she always had my back and I always had hers. I use to tell all the new inmates that came to our unit"You see that old lady over there, that's my partner you touch her and you go automatically have to fight me. As it turned out she was the one to come to my aid when a fight broke out. That was my partner and my friend, she would do anything for the people she cared about whether it was feed you(she loved to cook)or stand up for you. Even though we lost contact through the years she always remained on my mind and in my heart. I know that she is in heaven playing spades and yelling BINGO. I love you old woman and always will and save a place for me at the table I owe you a whooping at spades.
see you later partner

Taken by surprise and now we suffer our loss
Of a woman, for which we all shall grieve
Oh, how we shall suffer our loss.
Tears shed by those who knew her best.
Tears of joy - she's out of the pain
And finally, peacefully been laid to rest,
Yet in our hearts she remains the same.
They shed tears of grief, she was so dearly loved
And now shall be missed as she watches from above
On us all, a guiding light
That leads you through the darkest nights,
And the service we will have, a good way to say goodbye,
To a mother, a grandma, an auntie.
A friend who no one took for granted and for which they cared,
A woman whose loyalty we wish everyone shared.
A family came together at such a sad time
A shame, this unfairness was too harsh a crime.
The first time in years, they came together as one!!!!!!!
To say goodbye to that special someone.
I will miss you so much Aunt Betty. Now Ma and Aunt Edith have another partner to play BINGO with!!
Love,
Monique, De'Mario, Ja'Brie & Chyna Lindsey
