WILLIAMSON, Charles D. Sr. "Red," of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Williamson. He is survived by his children, Linda Withers and husband, William, of Nokesville, Va., Deborah Williamson and Gary Berti of Rockville, Md., Charles D. Williamson Jr. "Butch" and wife, Deidre, of Vienna, Va., Carol Williamson of Goochland, Va., Sandy Johnson and husband, Freddie, of Columbia, Va., and Rusty Williamson of Columbia, Va.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include, four sisters, one brother, an aunt, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and special friends. Charles served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 8617. He was a lifelong member of Local Carpenters Union 132. Remains rest at Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va., where the family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 12 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Mizpah Christian Church at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fife Volunteer Fire Dept.

Papaw, You will never be forgotten. We miss you so much. You and I had some good times and I am so thankful that we had chance to reminisce and even laugh about some things. It wont be the same not seeing you on your front porch as we come down the driveway. I wish my boys could have had more time with you. I will treasure my memories always!
