Robert LOY

LOY, Robert, 76, of Amelia, went home to be with the Lord, September 26, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Janet Loy; three sons, Robert W. Loy Jr., David Loy and Donna, his wife, and Christopher Loy and Christina, his wife; brother, Hubert Loy; sister, Anna Loy; and four granddaughters, Rebecca, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Madison. Mr. Loy served in the U.S. Army as a master sargeant during the Korean conflict. He was a metal artisan for over 40 years. His family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Virginia Hospice at Retreat Hospital.
