Eyleen Brent Obituary

BRENT Mrs. Eyleen Gill Edwards Brent, age 87, of Chase City, died September 20, 2006 at her home. She was born November 12, 1918 in Avalon, Northumberland County, Va. to Thomas H. Gill Sr. and Estelle Luttrell Gill. Her first husband, Ernest C. Edwards Jr. and her second husband, John H. Brent Jr. preceded her in death. Her brothers, Thomas H. Gill Jr. and Hurley H. Gill, also preceded her. Mrs. Brent was a long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church, the Chase City Fortnightly Club and Mecklenburg Country Club. Surviving are her son, Bibb Edwards and wife, Anita Guynn, of Laurinburg, N.C.; daughter, Sue Terminella and husband, Francis of Richmond; grandchildren, Malindi Edwards and fiance, Michael Powers of Hickory, N.C., Kevin Terminella and wife, Heather Mazeika of Richmond, and Adam Terminella of Fullerton, Calif. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Service, Chase City. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Centenary United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Chase City Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 81, Chase City, Va. 23924, or Centenary United Methodist Church, 350 N. Marshall St., Chase City, Va. 23924. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family. Online condolences may be registered at www.woodfuneralservice.com.
