Alma L. Rendert

Rendert, Alma L. NORTH GREENBUSH Alma L. Rendert, 98, of Van Rensselaer Manor, longtime resident of Menands, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, Alma was the daughter of the late Christian J. and Emma G. Meyers Momrow and wife of the late Fred Rendert. A resident of Menands since 1932, along with her husband, Alma operated the former Rendert Lumber and Building Materials in Menands and was known as the "Lumber Lady". In later years, she and her husband operated Rendert Apartments. Alma was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church in Albany. Alma also took care of and helped many friends and relatives in their later years and was always there to lend a helping hand. Alma was the sister of the late Arthur C. and John H. Momrow. Survivors include her son, Richard C. (Margaret M.) Rendert of Menands; her granddaughter, Susan (Tom) DeLucia of Milford, Mass., her great-grandchildren, Emma, Elyse and Ellie DeLucia. Alma was the aunt of Peggy Connole, MaryAnn Mathews, Fred Momrow, John H. Momrow Jr., Joan Wells, Alice Pelton and Nancy Dyer. Funeral service Monday, 10 a.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral chapel on Sunday 2-5 p.m. Interment, Sand Lake Union Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Alma L.
