Rosana,
The news of your mom's passing made me very sad. She was such a sweet, kind, and giving woman. She had a wonderful laugh. When I think of her I'll remember her beautiful smile and that giggly laugh.
Love,

Rosana & Joey,

Like you both already know, your mom (g'ma), was a very special woman that always saw the good in everyone. I really hated the fact that she suffered so much because she did not deserve it. She was sick for a long time, but despite her ailment, she was always concerned with the welfare of others. Elissa would always call me to see how my mom, Esther Tateo, was doing. She would never forget my mother and for that, I am thankful. She would cry over the phone, telling me that she would visit my mom if she could. She was a very sincere & genuine woman.

Even though I lost touch through the years with Elissa, I was happy to reunite with her again. I am happy that she met my children, Donnie & Justin, and my boyfriend, Eddie. They all thought that she was a very special woman. Going over to her house will not be the same without seeing Elissa sitting in her chair.

Now Elissa will be with Joe, the only man she has ever loved. She missed him so much. I know that they will continue to carry their until eternity. I am sure that he will be playing the organ for her once again.

We will miss you Elissa, but don't worry about Rosana and Joey, they will be well taken care of. They are surrounded by so many people who love them as well.

My heart goes out to you Rosanna & Joey on the loss of your beloved Mom and Grandmother. I was so pleased to have seen her a short time ago, and I had the pleasure of talking to her about you and her grandson. How very proud she was of you. May you find some peace in knowing that she is at home with God in Heaven, with her Mom & Dad, and her husband. What a wonderful couple they were, and they will be both missed so much.

My sincere condolences go out to the entire family. I worked with Elissa for several years at Merck Medco (formerly NRX) in the file room. We always shared our most favorite italian recipes together. To this day, I still have her recipe that she gave to me for frosted italian cookies. She was a beautiful, kind, soft spoken woman, whom I learned alot from through the years we worked together. I always joked around with Joe, when he picked her up from work every day. I met Rosanna, and Joey once in the parking lot when he was little. She always talked about her family, and was so delighted when Joey was born. I will miss her dearly. In memory of her, I will make a double batch of those cookies!

Wow, this is a sad day, for all those who knew Elissa, will have lost a sincere wonderful friend whose heart and home were opened to all. I remember fondly the marriage she shared with her husband Joe and how very much they loved each other. The solace will come from the knowledge that they are now together again in heaven and will save a place for all the rest of us as they did at their table in life. Rosana and Joey, when you feel sad or lonely, remember that they are happy together again and it will give you joy. I am a better person for having known them and am glad for having had the opportunity.

I've known Elissa since I was a little girl. She was such a caring and kind person.Always willing to help someone out despite her own struggles. She had struggled with her own health issues but was more concerned about others. We will all miss her sweetness and hopefully we have learned to be kinder and more patient towards others.Thank-you Lisa.
