Kelly, Laurie, Crystal, Nick, Gary, Suzie, & Mary,
I loved Jim very much and I am happy I got to talk to him on a regular basis for the last 6 months. During that time, Jim and I had many talks about his family, friends and fishing. My talks with him will always be cherished. He always kept a good sense of humor and tried to keep his chin up. He was tough all the way and wouldn't want it any other way.
I can't tell you enough how sorry I am that we all lost him. He truly loved his girls, his family and Mary. Hopefully time will get us through this. Wish I could have been able to come home to see and support you through this hard time. Hope to see you soon!
Love, Jule

Kelly, Laurie, Crystal and Nick,
I wanted to let you all know that you all are in my thoughts. I just couldn't believe it when Kelly called and shared the very sad news about Jimmy. This has been a year filled with lots of sadness already and we are only 1/2 way through 2008. Hopefully the next 1/2 will be filled with much happier days. Jim was Jim; he loved deeply, played dangerously and lived intensly. All I can say is there are lots of fish thinking that they are lucky to have been spared Jimmy's hook!

To Jim's Family:
I would like to offer my deepest condolences. Jim was an extremely nice and funny man. While taking care of Jim we shared so many laughs and stories. He loved to talk about his grandchildren and his cats. I learned a lot about fishing from him varying from tips and tricks to the biggest fish he'd ever caught. I will miss him deeply and I am really grateful to have met this wonderful man!
Sincerely-

I just want to give my condolences to all of Jim's family and friends during this difficult time. While taking care of Jim on the Heart Transplant Unit, we found we shared a common thread, as both he and my late father worked for Conrail. We also discovered that we both enjoyed fishing, and would spend many shifts discussing how to catch the biggest best Striper (bass)! I will miss Jim, and I know many of my colleagues will as well. Please accept my sympathy and heartfelt wishes for comfort and healing during this sad time.

Nick and family,
I am so saddened to read of Jimmy's passing. I know he had some issues with his health the past few years, however, I still expected to run into him and talk and talk and talk again....I'll just have to wait a bit longer this time. I will pray that God Bless you and Jimmy's family in this time of sadness. I will forever remember the good times spent laughing with you and Jimmy when I would see you both at the same time. Jimmy and I would always get talking about the horses and that was the passion that connects me to your family........God willing we will all ride in the same parade someday!!
With most sincere heartfelt sympathy,
Linda Lawton
