Jeanette Kaiser Obituary

Kaiser, Jeanette M. ALBANY Jeanette M. (Elliott) Kaiser, 90, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 6, 2008. Daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Morton) Elliott, she was born in Albany on August 15, 1917 and was a lifelong area resident. Jane was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Robert F. Kaiser Sr. and was predeceas-ed by her brother, Peter and her sister, Margie Elliott McDonald. Jane graduated from Vincent-ion Institute and, in her younger years, was employed by New York Telephone Company. She retired from the Department of Labor after many years of service. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing cards, talking and sharing desserts with her lifelong friends. Jane was a volunteer with the Albany Institute of History and Art as well as a volunteer for the St. Peter's Meals On Wheels program. Mother of four, who tried through their lives, to return the love she showered on them, Robert F. Kaiser Jr. and his wife Emma of the Philippines, Susan Bandel and her husband Ralph of Slingerlands, Paul Kaiser and his wife Susan of Guilderland, and Stephen Kaiser and his wife Nancy of Albany. Jane adored her 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They provided her with great joy and happiness and dearly loved her. Her devoted grandchildren are Jennifer, Robert and Philipp Kaiser; Claire, Ellen and Tim Bandel; Matthew (Kim) Kaiser, Sarah (Todd) Rosa, and Rebecca (Brad) Junco; and, Michelle, Laura and Stephen Kaiser. Jane's great-grandchildren are Allison and Ben Rosa, Emilie Kaiser and Lillie Junco. Jane is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several dear, lifelong friends. The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks and gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at the Westmere Adult Home for the loving and compassionate care and exceptional support Jane and her family received in her final few months. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes on Ontario and Yates Streets in Albany. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. If desired, contributions in Jane's memory may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 or the St. Catherine's Center for Children, 40 North Main Ave., Albany, NY 12203.
