Dear Butman Family,
I was a camp counselor at a Special Place years ago and Betsy was the hightlight of my day. She use to tell me how she was going to marry John Travolta and she would always tell John Glasser that he was not the love or her life and the John T was coming for her. I saw her again several years ago at the Special Olympics and I was with my own kids. Betsy came up to meet my daughter and son and my daughter Erin still remembers Betsy. She is someone that will make everyone smile in heaven and bring joy and happiness to everyone. I am sorry for your loss but I know she is watching over you and saying no tears as I am happy and watching you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Betsy, it breaks my heart. I worked at Rapp Rd. on and off for 3 years, and I had a special connection with Betsy. Everyone knew how close I was to her. I'll never forget singing and dancing with her, doing her hair, going out for icecream together, and all the great memories we shared. She had a special charisma about her, her smiles and cheerfulness were contagious. I hope it is some comfort that so many throughout the world have been touched by Betsy in a positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this difficult time. "Until we meet again, Betsy" Love, Amberly

Mr. & Mrs. Butman:
I had the pleasure of working with Betsy at Day program. She would come to my level and run and exercise group once a week. She was such a pleasure and her smile was so contagious. We will miss you Betsy but we are comforted knowing you are watching over all of us and that you will be waiting to greet us when our time has come.

I can not even think of what to say words seem so inadequate- Betsy was the Rapp Road Ambassador she loved all - and never missed greeting everyone with a smile and her famous greeting to the evening incoming staff "How was your day?" It wasn't just a greeting she really wanted to know how you were. She was a delightful woman who I am honored to have known. Mr. and Mrs. Butman, you have my sincere condolences. You raised a wonderful daughter and gave us all a gift to share for too short a time. Thank you for that. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Although I never worked directly with Betsy, her outgoing personality made her well-known where every she went. I knew Betsy from bowling every week. She and her friends made "work" fun.
Sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Butman, Whenever I think of some of the absolute best times of my life I'm always taken back to Rapp Road in the mid eighties and ninties. Betsy Butman would be standing by the side door listening and dancing to her music and look up to smile at me as I came into work. How lucky were we all to have Betsy in our lives to make us smile. Was there ever a person with more personality and more stamina then Betsy at ARC. I think NOT. Your daughter was one of the reasons working at arc was so special, Betsy was a part of the pie that made it taste so good. Betsy's relationships with all her friends were so real and loving (of course sometimes tense, as in all relationships) I"m sure Sarah, Vera and Jimmy will be the saddest of all. Betsy's parting will be a great loss to everyone. I just want to say thank you for letting us borrow Betsy all those years....She loved unconditionally, and was loved in return by so many.
Sincerely, Kate Murray

Betsy was always a happy girl. When I would come to work at Rapp, she was there to greet me with a big smile and arms open for a hug, saying " Hi TJ, How are you?" She would hug you so tightly, you'd think that she was never going to let go. To me, Besty was Rapp road and I will never forget her. Betsy, I love ya and I will miss you. Mr. and Mrs. Butman, I love you too and I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
