John Rado Obituary

Rado, John J. TROY John J. Rado, 80, of Troy, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Albany Medical Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late John F. and Katherine Naprawa Rado. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended Siena College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a clerk for New York State Department of Transportation. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Polish American Club in Troy. Survivors include three sisters, Mary (John) Urban of Troy, Helen (Robert) Vanetti of Albany and Mildred T. Rado of Troy; one brother, Edwin C. Rado of Troy. He was the uncle of Jeanne Rado Grantier, Marlene Rado Wojcik, Carol Rado McDonald, M. Barbara Urban and J. Wayne Rado; also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Brother of the late Joseph Rado, Theodore Rado and Thomas Rado. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 9:45 from the John H. Clinton Funeral Home, Washington Park and Third Street, Troy and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Troy. Calling hours will be held on Sunday 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the St. Joseph Restoration Fund, 416 Third Street, Troy, NY 12180.
