He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and three great-nieces. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Gene Hughes; infant sister Carol Ann and infant twin-siblings Francis and Susan. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 9:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. I remember Mike, the hours in the back yard playing with the Army set, his charter membership in the IMF Club, his sevice to this country in the Rangers, his service to his community as a fire fighter. We won't see him, for a while, but when we get together again on the other side it will be one heck of a clam bake. Mike, save me a seat next to you.

"Hey, Ranger!!!!!" That's how I greeted Mike whenever I'd enter the Stewart's Shop. I only knew him as "Ranger." He'd reply, "Hey, Airborne," (due to my being former 82nd Airborne) We both know "Rangers lead the Way." Great guy. I am saddened. My condolences. God Bless You all.

My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family during your time of grief and sorrow. It's been 30 years (Colonie Class of '78) since I last saw Mike. Whenever I reflect on my childhood and the old neighborhood, I smile when I think of Mike's wit and the fun we all had at your house. Thoughts of your mom also warm my heart, she was a wonderful woman. May God bless you all and hold you in his arms.

I had a nice visit with Mike at Chrissy's wedding earlier this summer. He seemed to be happy and enjoying his work. He reminded some of my father when he spoke with pride about being a store manager. I was shocked to hear of his passing. My thoughts go out to you all in your sorrow.
