Dear Lemperle Family,
I have just learned from our Aunt Betty Bell, the news of Helen's passing and am so deeply saddened. We are here in Portland, Oregon for Meg's son's wedding and her name has come up so many times in relating to all the fun we've had together at the beach over the years and all the funny things that Mom and Helen did while staying at the beach--How the mini bus driver got to know them, would look for them and drive them right to the door of the house. They were such fun to be around. I spoke to your Mom this summer when I knew she would be invited to the wedding. I know she just wasn't feeling too well. I always told her I loved her and she told me that as well. My daughter, Jessica was also very sad but said she could picture Gram and Helen having their coffee with Mom Saying "It's about time you arrived". We like to think that they are together and that their friendship continues over time. I'll phone when I return to Albany. From Bill and I, Jessica, Matt and Tyler and Mina our most sincere condolences. I will give Meg and Jacques the news upon their return from the store. I'm sure you'll here from Meg soon as we considered Helen our family.
Love to you all. Karen Phillips writing from Oregon (Daudy's daughter.)

Thank you to everyone who has sent their condolences and sweet words about my grandmother. Your support has been a great comfort to our entire family at this sad time.

As most of you know, her love for her family and friends was deep, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by them. She would be touched by the way those she loved have come together to be there for one another.

Thank you.

To my Grandmother (Mama). You will forever be alive in my heart.

You and Jakob had such a special connection and I am very happy that he had as much time with you as he did. He already misses the lunches and the conversations in the backseat.

We love and miss you more than words can say.

Love Always,
