I had the immense pleasure of getting to know Mr. DeLucia in the last few weeks at Sunnyview, and was very sorry to learn of his passing. He was a truly charming gentleman and spoke so highly and lovingly of his family. It was a pleasure to know him and he will be missed.

Dear Michelle and Tom and families:
We are so sorry for your loss, and we will miss Gil greatly. When she was little Anna loved to go to the store to visit the "Delisheses", and now they are finally together again. I can picture your Dad and Roger Keenholts comparing stories about Altamont with the original sources!
Our prayers are with you all.

Hello,

Very sad news indeed.
I remember as a kid he was a big influence on me as I spent endless hours in the drug store playing and checking everything out. Later when I was older he would pay me to do all kinds of odd jobs which helped lead to a work ethic I can still appreciate. I still clearly remember when I last saw him on the street last year and relayed to him how important he was to me growing up. I'm grateful that I was fortunate enough to know such a great man!

God bless and rest in peace!

Dear Michelle and family,
Gil has been a special friend to our family for many, many years. Years ago when we started going for Sunday breakfast at the Home Front he would warmly welcome us to sit with him. My children always enjoyed his jokes and little stories and I admired the way he always remembered to ask about each of them and their life goals etc. He had a special interest in our son, Matt, and was excited for him in his desire to become a cabinet maker/carpenter. He told him "This country needs more craftsmen, son!" :-)
This country also needs more special men like Gil! He will be sorely missed by our family and scads of other people in Altamont! Our prayers are with you in this difficult time, but remember.....he is with his beloved wife once again and in pain no more!
God bless,

Julie Perras

Dear Michele and family,
Our sincere sympathy to you all on the loss of your dad and grandfather. He was an icon in the village and will be remembered not only for the pharmacy and his service to all of us there but also for his friendly "hello" when seeing him walking in the village in recent years.
You are in our thoughts.
With deep sympathy,
