To the family of Bernie-
I never knew your Dad, but know he had to be a very special person to have captured the heart of such a wonderful person. Although I work at Empire, I never worked closely with Bernie, but she was the type of unforgettable person that you meet & immediately feel a bond with. Follow her example- she had class, intelligence, and true genuine caring. Take care & know that she touched the hearts of many people, and left a lasting good mark.

To the Cuomo family.
We should be, and are, shocked and saddened by you're Mom's passing. However, Bernice and Scott have always been a pair. A great pair at that. They simply could not have lived without each other. Mom needed Dad and Dad needed Mom. She passed from a broken heart, not and illness. They are together again in eternity. Once again they are the great pair that they were here on earth. Don't be sad, they are both watching over you together. May GOD Bless you all.

This is such sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I worked with Bernie at Empire for quite some time and she was highly regarded by all. She was always kind and thoughtful to everyone she came in contact with. We had many good laughs about the many stories she use to tell.

To the Family of Bernie Cuomo
I was so sad to hear of the passing of such a beautiful and truly sincere people I have ever met. I worked with Bernie at Empire Blue Cross for years and she was my Senior when I first started. A more intelligent ,fairer person I would never meet. She always would have kind things and words of support for all. Her love for her family was certainly apparent for when she talked about you all , she glowed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all . I will remember her always!

Mike, Terri, Karen & Families,
I cannot believe I am back here again so soon after your dad's passing, now expressing my sympathy at the loss of your mom. I had written about what a great man your dad was - well, behind every great man is a great lady, and your mom was definitely a great lady. Thinking of both of them brings back so many happy memories for me, and I hope it does the same for you, and helps ease some of your grief. My heart goes out to all of you. God bless.

To the family of Bernie,
Jane & I had worked with Bernie for many years at Empire and we are just stunned. This has got to be so overwhelming for you all. We are so sorry for your loss of a such a beloved family member and also for ourselves, on the loss of an incredible friend and nurse. She was a strong woman without pretense and a consummate nurse who was always there to help. We especially loved her sense her of humor and she always gave as good as she got :)!
It is difficult to write of Bernie using the past tense but I know that she will continue to live on in the memories we share, all of the people she has helped and healed and in the wonderful legacy of her family.
May her memory be a blessing.

To the Cuomo Family,
There are no words to express my sorrow and shock at Bernie's passing. She and I went to Catholic High together and were classmates and roommates our senior year at St Peter's Hospital. Although I have lived in California all these years we stayed in touch. Last October we enjoyed our 50th graduation reunion together and generous as usual she drove several of us each night to the activities in Albany. I just talked to her on the phone two and a half weeks ago after your father's death. She said she was doing well and complimented her children for all their help. I never had any indication that she wasn't well. I am sure she is reunited with your father, but what sad losses for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will miss her.

Dear Mike and family:
This is your old teacher from Catholic Central. My fondest memories of CCHS are of you and Kirk, and Bill and Tom and Rob and so many others. You were truly special to me. I am saddened to hear about the passing of both your mom and your dad. In fact suprised. I just saw your mom in church at the lake a week ago. I guess we have lost touch over the years. Certainly nothing like the days when you guys used to break into my house etc. You know that I have always had a special place for all of you. I remember your school days and how concerned mom and dad always were about each and everyone of you. Such love, devotion and support for you. Now you need to be strong for them as I know they have preapred you well. Know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers and be assured God is always kind and merciful. I am certain you are aware that I now am a member of a religious community and you will be in our prayers and thoughts during what I am certain is a difficult time. I often catch a glimpse of you from time to time when I see you in church which reassures me that you are doing well being a great dad and good husband.
I hope if there is anythng i could do for you you would not hesitate to ask.
God Bless you and yours,
Br. Ronald-Francis Davis, FSD

Dear Mike, Terri, Karen and families,
My sincere sympathy to all of you on the loss of your Mom. The words I write just aren't enough to express what I am feeling today. Both your Mom and Dad were such good friends of mine that I am feeling a great loss but I know it isn't as great as yours. The two of them will always be in our hearts and I know I am better for having known both Bernie and Scott.

I was stunned to see the news of Bernie's passing so soon after she lost her husband. I worked with Bernie at Empire Blue Cross and always thought she was a lovely lady. She always tried hard to help her patients.
She ran our "sunshine club" and always tried to remember birthdays ,weddings etc
She brightened many days!
I think her best role was as a proud wife, mother and grandmother. She always talked about her family at work. They were the light of her life
I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers

We are deeply saddened for the lose of your mom. There is no explanation why this happened so soon after the lose of your father only that she had a broken heart. At this time we are sure that her heart is healed and that she is along side Scott again.
Mrs. "C" was a very dynamic, compassionate and loving mom, wife and friend.
We will always be there for you during this difficult time.
We loved Scott and Bernie and greatly miss them.
