To the Ruggaber family,
I only recently learned that Don passed away last year -- what a sad loss. I worked with Don and Lou at Albany Civic Theatre for several years in the late 1980s - early 1990s and have wonderful memories of both of them. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

To Don's Family and Friends,
I worked in the NYS State Comptroller's Office for 35 years and I met Don through one of my staff members many years ago. Anytime I would run into him at an event Don was always so nice to speak with. He was a genuine guy and certainly as his obituary so aptly stated, "a gentleman and a gentle man". God bless him and everyone who cared for him along the way.

Our condolences to Don's family and friends. We first met Don in 1981 in Capri where he a Lou were enJoying one of their first trips to the island. Lou was our best man and godfather to our first child. They came to VA to visit us just before Lou died. We will always remember the great care Don provided to Lou in those last years. We had talked to Don in June and we were going to get together on a planned July trip to Saratoga but our trip was delayed until August. We had left Don a message, ironically, on the day of his funeral, but were unaware of his passing until today. We will miss him.

Don has been a freind of our family for close to 50 years. He is one of the best freinds anyone could have. Long after my mother (Margaret) moved to California due to illness Don continued to place her remembrance of my father in the TU. He traveled with our family, laughed with them and cried with them. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Family of Ruggy,

Sometimes our lives are blessed by people who are so special that we are happier just because we know them…and Ruggy was one of those very special people.

Ruggy was a wonderful man and has touched so many people along the way.
“Good people will be remembered as a blessing”…

God Bless You Ruggy,

Joy, Nadene and family... Though I had never met Don, I feel as if I knew him from the stories of the last year and a half and the good times you had with Don while visiting with and caring for him. He was truly surrounded by much love in his life but especially over these last few months. Family is so special...

Thinking of you...

To Dons family and friends,
Thank you for sharing Dons last years with me. He confirmed what many have told me, that a loving family and close friends are a gift that you never can take for granted. We will miss you "uncle" Don.

Those of us who knew him feel sadden by his passing. You are right, he was a very gentle,
