Mary, I miss you already. Our annual Ladies Brunch on the East Porch of the Bixby Big House on Aug 3rd was not the same this year without you. I left your place set just in case you showed up. Last night we had a St Louis float in honor of Lucy Bixby's birthday. We floated quietly by your magical properrty on Tongue MT and then poured out champagne into the water and all cried in unison "We love you Mary!" Just then a faint rainbow with pink clouds appeared on the horizon. We think you heard us. I will miss so much about you - your increduible artistic flair, your love of music, your deep knowledge of many things. But mostly I will miss your gentle spirit, your inquisitive nature and your love of swimming which we shared in those refreshing dips at Tongue MT. I guess just like the James Taylor song "Fire & Rain" "I always thought I would see you one more time again..." Sail on in peace and know that the wings of love bear you up and on...
