Carol Carnevale Obituary

Carnevale, Carol Ann COLONIE Carol Ann (Ribis) Carnevale, 68, died peacefully on August 15, 2008 at the Hospice Inn of St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Schenect-ady on October 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ribis and the late Mary Ann (Pompillio) Ribis. Carol was a 1957 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles until she was married in 1959. After raising her children and being a homemaker for 20 years, she went back to work and began a new career in the health care industry where she was employed by several of the areas top medical practices. She was known by many and loved by all. Carol took her greatest pride from being a mother and wife. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, John Raymond Carnevale; and three sons, Michael John, David James (Julianne), and Daniel Joseph. She is also survived by a sister, Helene Bradfield of Ark., and several nieces and nephews. To honor her wishes and privacy, there will be no public calling hours. All relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 18, 1:00 pm at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, followed by interment in Memory's Garden, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gilda's Club, Capital Region, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
