Sister Annamae was an amazing teacher who left a profound effect on me. I was part of her 5th grade class at Blessed Sacrament and while others saw a troublemaking, immature fool, which I completely was, she saw something different. She gave me responsibility, artistic outlets and the "big desk". The interesting or maybe ironic thing is that I start my first year at Fabius-Pompey elementary school as a 5th grade teacher in a few days. I hope that I can see beyond the obvious, and often unsavory facades that students can display as Sister Annamae did. If her dear friend, Sister Barbara, is the same one who taught me in fourth grade, I'm very sorry for showing fellow pupils how to throw crayons into the lights.

My sympathy to Mary and Sister Barbara. I worked with Sr. Annamae at Holy Trinity in Syracuse. She was always so happy and full of fun. I was secretary at the parish and she taught religious ed. I have many happy memories as I'm sure you do. Sister Barbara, I remember her speaking of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

God Bless Sister Annamae! I remember her teaching our 5th grade class at Blessed Sacrament School. She did a great job keeping this large class busy. I have many great memories of that year. My sympathies to her family and all who knew her.
