Dad, I miss you in so, so many ways!! I still remember our last conversation. You pulled me down toward you and gave the strongest hug you could!! You were truly "something" a quick witted, BBing father who I always knew loved me and would be there for me!! Nine years flew by but the memories I have of you are beyond vivid. I hear your voice, without realizing it use "your" sayings and when I'm trying to figure something out I think to myself what would Daddy do!?!? Missing you today and everyday Dad....til we meet again. Love Patti xoxo

Holy cow. I can't believe you've been gone for 8 years. Time goes by fast but my memories of you are so vivid. I hear your voice, I remember your "sayings" and still at times I think.....I've got to call Daddy to tell him blah, blah, blah. You were something special and truly a wonderful, selfless father. I miss you so much Dad. Until we meet again, I love you. xoxo Patti

Happy Birthday Dad! I miss you more than I thought possible. The memories are what helps. I quote you often using some of your quirky sayings. The kids laugh saying that sounds just like Poppy! I know you are resting in peace as you did your job well both as a father and husband. Love Patti xoxoxo

A great man, a wonderful father and an unbelievable caretaker. The older I get the more I realize the selfless way you led your life. You are a true role model. I love that without realizing it you taught me so much just by your actions. Mommy was so fortunate to have had you caring for her and I am so thankful to have witnessed it. XO Patti

Pop,
Thank you for giving me our present day "Gramma Pat". What an unbelievable mother and now grandmother she is to our little Reese. She clearly learned from the best. I wish I was able to tell you that in person. I hope you and the original Gramma Pat are tearin it up up there.
Love, Ashley

Dad, Four years have just flown by. I thought it would get easier with each passing day but it really doesn't. So many times I instinctively go to call you. Other times I think to myself, "I've got to call Daddy later". I know in time this will get less and less. You were a "BB" as we all know but deep down you had a heart of gold. Always putting the needs of the six of us first. And forget about how you cared for Mommy during her long illness. During what should have been the prime of your life, your life stopped and you cared for that woman like you were "trained" to do so. As I age and reflect on those years I cannot imagine not only how you did it but how you did it so well and so selflessly. I am forever grateful to you for allowing me to witness such compassion. Thank you. xoxo Patti

Dad, Fathers Day or any day you are always on my mind. I miss you and believe it or not still go to call you. I quote you, tell your jokes and stories. Of course not as good as you did. Memories are a beautiful thing and I am so thankful that we created so many together. Happy Fathers Day!! You were an amazing Dad! xoxo

Dad, Its the day before Easter and I'm thinking of you. We'll have that "great" ham that you love, both on Easter and of course as leftovers for breakfast!!! Almost 4 years and the void is still so strong. There are so many days that I instinctively go to call you. You are missed so much! Love and miss you....til we meet again. Love Patti xoxo

Dad,
It just doesn't seem possible that you have been gone for 3 years. Just the other day something big was going on and for a split second I thought I have to call Daddy and run it by him. I miss not having you with all your wiseness to bounce things off of. You were "something". I miss you everyday

Dad, Its been two long years without you here. So often without realizing it I think to call you just to chat or to tell you something and get your take-quickly realizing it can't be. I think of you everyday and miss your voice. I find myself quoting you to Ash, Whit and Brad-often bursting out into a saying or song you might recite. Recently, it was "yes we have no bananas, we have no bananas today". The kids kind of look at me funny but I am so thankful that I have all those wonderful memories. Love you, miss you terribly and I am proud to be your daughter. See you someday.
Love, Patti xoxo

MAHAN-Joseph
In loving memory of my Father, Joseph S. Mahan Sr., who passed away one year ago today, August 15, 2008.
Dad,
I miss you more and more each day.
I miss you in so many ways.
I miss the things you used to say and
when "old times" I do recall, it's then I miss you most of all...magic tricks-vanilla shakes with the "secret" ingredient-pudding that seemed to take all night to boil-REAL popcorn-looking for "wheats" in bags and bags of pennies-the dominick claw-but most of all my "honeybees". Thank you for wonderful memories.
Love and miss you, Patti xoxo

Mahan Family,
It was awesome to see such a huge turnout for Unlce Joe and what was even nicer was to see all of you there in your birth order greeting everyone. It really shows what a "classy family" you are and no matter what you stand together. He was a special man and Aunt Pat was the sweetest woman. After loosing my parents I do know that the pain does subside and they do live on in our hearts and we always will cherish them. Always, Cousin
