Edward Krawiecki Obituary

Krawiecki, Edward REXFORD Edward Krawiecki, 88, died Monday, August 18, 2008 after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, the son of the late Vincent and Frances Krawiecki, he worked at his family's farm in Rexford until he became employed at the General Electric Co. as a crane operator, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of the Church of St. Adalbert. An active member and past chief of the Rexford Fire Department for 44 years, his devotion to the fire department was one of his greatest priorities. He was a member of Shenendehowa Senior Citizens, Originals Mixed Bowling League and past member of the CDTL Bowling League. Edward was an avid bowler, hunter and gardener and loved the outdoors. Edward was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Pomykai Krawiecki, who he married May 14, 1944, and she passed away April 24, 2007. Loving father of Edward P. (Betsy) Krawiecki of Rexford and Ronald Krawiecki, also of Rexford; brother of the late Henry, Chester, Alexander Krawiecki and Pauline Bongermino; grandfather of Robert P. Krawiecki of Rexford and Jaime L. Fellows of Mechanicville; also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Community Hospice, especially Kelly, for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the Leszczynski Funeral Home, 716 Crane St. thence to the Church of St. Adalbert at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The funeral home will be open Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment, St. Adalbert Cemetery.
