AnnaBelle LaPier Obituary

LaPier, AnnaBelle ALBANY AnnaBelle LaPier entered into Jesus' presence to join her beloved husband of 58 years, Wally, August 18, 2008. She was the youngest of seven children of Anna and Paul Sutherland of Stephentown, N.Y. where she was born in 1929. Sur-vivors include her devoted daughter, Charis (Arthur) Jenkins; her cherished son, Mark (Sharon) LaPier; and their children and AnnaBelle's great-grandchildren. AnnaBelle will be remembered as a wonderful encourager to her family and, along with her husband, a faithful and active servant of their church, the New Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family is very grateful to the caring staff of the Blue Wing at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center and the Community Hospice of Albany. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Avenue, Albany. Relatives and friends are also invited to call at the funeral home Thursday, 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie. Those who desire may contribute in AnnaBelle's memory to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the Alzheimer's Association, 35 Watervliet Avenue, Albany, NY 12206.

Hi Karis and Mark, I do not know if you remember me from the old Sherman St. gang in the 50's. I am sorry to read about your Mom. Your parents were the nicest people we all liked them and remember them fondly. I had both parents pass on and it is very hard. When you start thinking of years past just remember that others had good memories and some are due to great people just like your Mom. My prayers are with you both
