Elaine Cole Obituary

Cole, Elaine M. MONROE, N.C. Elaine M. Cole, 82, of Monroe, formerly of Albany, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2008 after a brief illness. Mrs. Cole was born August 7, 1926 in Albany, the daughter of the late Robert and Edith Hartwell. Mrs. Cole was an active member of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Albany, since she received the Lord as her savior and was baptized on April 3, 1977. She was also active in the LAPM unit under the Sovereign Grand Lodge and Rebekah Assembly I.O.O.F., State of New York since December 5, 1963. Mrs. Cole is the beloved mother of and survived by her daughters, Jeanne Poupore and her husband Floyd and Donna Coward, both of Monroe; her son, Edward Cole and his wife Debby of Albany, N.Y.; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday, August 23 at 9:00 a.m.. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday, August 22 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie following services.

It is good to know, Elaine, that you're not going home to Albany, but going to your real home above. I too have come from Albany. Maybe NC is a good place to return home from. Maybe just returning home is good.
