Anne G. Domski

Domski, Anne G. AMSTERDAM Anne G. Domski, 79, of Mayfield, died Monday afternoon, September 8, 2008 at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home, Amsterdam, N.Y. She was born in Manhattan on January 17, 1929, a daughter of John and Frieda Wilkens Schumacher and was a 1946 graduate of Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn. She was married to Thomas H. Domski on May 19, 1952, whom she met at a dude ranch in the Poughkeepsie area. Anne was widowed on July 14, 1999. Anne and Tom moved to Albany in 1957, residing there until moving to Clifton Park in 1965. In 1983, she and her late husband retired to Mayfield, where they had built their "Shangri La" on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Anne followed the Christian way of life and was always willing to help others in need. She enjoyed nature through her flower gardens and was always mindful of God's creatures, usually by spoiling her canine friends. Anne enjoyed arts and crafts, but mostly she enjoyed she enjoyed spending time with her family anfd friends. Survivors include three sons, Peter Domski of Clifton Park, Thomas (Karen) Domski of Rexford and Paul (Lauri) Domski of Tijeras, N.M.; a daughter, Lisa (Joseph) Caughey of Broadalbin; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin with Rev. Doug Blanc officiating. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the James H. Brennan Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
